First building – 1886

New Sanctuary building – 1962

Current Worship Center – 2005

Beginning in 1886, with just 16 members, Millbrook has always been a church dedicated to sharing the good news of Jesus and salvation in Aiken and beyond. In 1959, a new temporary sanctuary was built and used as such until 1962 when a new sanctuary was built and dedicated. The temporary sanctuary was converted into what is now the James Rivers Education Building where most of our Adult Connect Groups meet. In 2005, our current Worship Center was built and dedicated. The former sanctuary was converted into Kid City, which now houses our Kids Connect Groups and Worship. To God be the glory for the growth of our church. It is our prayer that the years ahead will see an even greater growth and impact for His glory.

Millbrook exists to make disciples by CELEBRATING GOD through weekly Worship Gatherings; FINDING COMMUNITY through weekly Connect Groups; GROWING DEEPER through yearly D-Groups; and CHANGING THE WORLD through ongoing Mission Partnerships.

Reaching Out – Moving Forward

And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another. – Hebrews 10:24-25a

Our Worship Gatherings are on Sunday mornings at 10:30 AM. Our gatherings provide time for everyone to celebrate who God is and what He has done for us through the preaching of the Word and worship through song.

Psalm 95:1-2, Psalm 99:5, Romans 12:1-2, 1 Peter 2:9

They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. – Acts 2:42

Our Connect Groups meet each week on Sunday mornings at 9:00 AM. These groups are open to every person, comprised of believers and non-believers, in all seasons of life, genders, for an indefinite period of time. Our goal is to help facilitate meaningful relationships beyond our weekly Worship Gatherings.

Ephesians 4:11-12, 2 Timothy 3:16

And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others. – 2 Timothy 2:2

Our Discipleship-Groups meet at various times throughout the week. These groups are open to believers only, comprised of 3-5 gender specific people, in similar seasons of life, for a specific amount of time (12-18 months), with the goal of producing disciples who make disciples. Each group commits to read Scripture daily, memorize Scripture weekly, and pray for one another.

Matthew 28:18-20,  Luke 9:23, 1 Peter 2:21

How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? – Romans 10:14

Our Mission Partnerships allow us contribute our time, talents, passions, and resources to our local community and to the nations. Our ministry to the nations is the natural expression of an evangelistic and disciple-making church.
