ABOUT US

First building – 1886

New Sanctuary building – 1962

Current Worship Center – 2005

OUR HISTORY

Beginning in 1886, with just 16 members, Millbrook has always been a church dedicated to sharing the good news of Jesus and salvation in Aiken and beyond. In 1959, a new temporary sanctuary was built and used as such until 1962 when a new sanctuary was built and dedicated. The temporary sanctuary was converted into what is now the James Rivers Education Building where most of our Adult Connect Groups meet. In 2005, our current Worship Center was built and dedicated. The former sanctuary was converted into Kid City, which now houses our Kids Connect Groups and Worship. To God be the glory for the growth of our church. It is our prayer that the years ahead will see an even greater growth and impact for His glory.

OUR MISSION

Millbrook exists to glorify God by making disciples.

OUR CORE VALUES

ABSOLUTE TRUTH

We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God. We believe God speaks to His people through His Word by His Holy Spirit to accomplish His work for His glory. (2 Timothy 3:16)

CONTINUAL PRAYER

We believe prayer is essential in developing an intimate and ongoing relationship with God. We believe prayer should be our first priority and not our last resort, and that doing much for God requires spending much time with God. (Jeremiah 33:3)

CONSISTENT EXCELLENCE

We believe in doing our absolute best for The Lord because He is worthy. (1 Corinthians 10:31)

GROWING RELATIONSHIPS

We believe in taking next steps in our relationship with Christ and others. We grow steadily and mature deeper as we continuously pursue and follow Christ, and as we love and care for one another. (Hebrews 10:24-25)

IMPACTING LOSTNESS

We believe it is a privilege and the responsibility of every believer to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We each have God-given gifts and talents, as well as unique opportunities to share Christ locally, nationally, and globally. (Mark 16:15)

INTENTIONAL UNITY

We believe that a unified body of believers gives evidence of the power of Christ to a watching world. (John 13:35)

OBEDIENT GIVING

We believe God is the owner of all things, and He provides the resources for us to accomplish His purposes. In obedience to Him, we generously give our time, talents, and treasures to further His Kingdom. (1 Peter 4:10)
